PET/PST are successfully completed and now its turn for Written Examination. An applicant who qualifies all the selection process will be appointed as Constable GD from the region he/she applied from.

01. Physical Efficiency Test (May/June 2015):- This selection process is abbreviated as PET which is the most important selection criteria adopted for the Constable post. It includes the following selection criteria: 01. Race:-
- Male Applicant:- 5 Kms in 24 min
- Female Applicant:- 1.6 Kms in 8.5 min
For Ladakh Region:-
- Male Applicant:- 1 Mile in 6.5 min
- Female Applicant:- 800 min 4 minute
02. Physical Standard Test (May/June 2015):-
This selection criterion involves the physical appearance of the applicants.
01. Height :
- a. for Male :- 17 cms
- b. for Female :- 157 cms
02. Chest: for males only –
- Unexpanded:- 80 cms a.
- Expanded: Min expansion 5 cms
03. Weight:- for male and female:-
- Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
03. Written Examination (4th October 2015):-
It is the 3rd process for the selection for those who qualified in the PET/PST and comprise of question multiple choice question (MCQ’s).
- Written Exam is based on MCQ’s in which applicants have to choose 1 right answer from 4 options for a particular question
- Time allotted to solve the paper is 02:00 hours (120 minutes)
- Written Examination will carry 100 marks for 100 questions.
- Level of questions will be of 10th Level.

A. General Intelligence & Reasoning:- It is based on analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish the pattern. It is studied to observe the questions principally and non-verbal type.
B. GK & General Awareness:- this subject is based to check applicant’s ability of General Awareness and it General Knowledge. Current events an History will be the main aspects.
C.:- Elementary Maths:- It includes questions related to Number System, Computation of Whole numbers, Decimals, and Fractions etc. Level of the questions will be of Matric (10th).
D. English/ Hindi:- Applicants have to study the grammar portion for both English and Hindi Subjects.
